The coin “Kazakh Waltz” by Gulfayrus Ismailova is part of the Fine Art of Kazakhstan series, intended to promote the richness of the national culture.
The reverse depicts Gulfayrus Ismailova’s painting “Kazakh Waltz” from the collection of the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the canvas, the Kazakh dancer Shara Jienkulova, People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR, spins in a whirl of dance. The color design is executed using pad printing technology.
The coin’s edge is smooth, without reeding or inscriptions. The painting “Kazakh Waltz” became part of a triptych dedicated to the great women of Kazakhstan: Shara Jienkulova, the opera singer Kulash Baiseitova, and the actress Sholpan Jandarbekova.
