The 200 ₸ commemorative coin of Kazakhstan marks the 800th anniversary of the Ulus of Jochi and highlights the significance of Khan Jochi in the history of the Great Steppe. Jochi was the eldest son of Genghis Khan and is regarded as the founder of the Ulus of Jochi, known in world history as the Golden Horde. His name is associated with the formation of an important political and cultural realm that had a notable influence on the development of the Eurasian lands. The design features an image of the monument to Khan Jochi created by the Kazakh sculptor and monumental artist Gaziz Yeshkenov. The reverse side presents a composition with coins from the Golden Horde period, emphasizing historical continuity and the connection between eras. Additional significance is given to the issue by the Mausoleum of Jochi Khan in the Ulytau Region, an important monument of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. The coin is made of cupronickel and weighs 15.00 g.
