The commemorative coin “Mother” is dedicated to one of the closest and most universally understood themes: a mother’s love, which Abai Kunanbayev expressed in his poetry with exceptional warmth and depth. The image of the mother in the composition conveys care, emotional closeness, and the moral foundation associated with family and a person’s upbringing. The issue of this coin was timed to the anniversary series marking the 150th anniversary of Abai and reflects the humanistic values that were so important in his work. The coin was struck in .925 silver, has a face value of 100 tenge, and weighs 24.00 g. It is of interest as a commemorative issue that combines artistic design with respect for the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
