The 500 ₸ silver coin, weighing 31.10 g, is dedicated to the ancient monetary circulation on the territory of Kazakhstan and reproduces the design of an old drachm. The obverse features a bust of a ruler in a crown facing right. Above the crown is a circle with a dot in the center, a characteristic symbol known from 7th–8th century coins associated with the Bukhar Khudahs, the rulers of Bukhara. The composition is based on archaeological material from the Altyn-tobe settlement. The issue conveys the features of early medieval coinage and highlights the historical connection of the region with the trade and cultural processes of Central Asia. Struck in .925 silver, the coin is of interest as a modern interpretation of a rare numismatic monument.
