The collectible coin “Kaaba” is dedicated to one of the principal shrines of Islam and is part of a series about the world’s most famous mosques. The reverse features an image of the Kaaba, located in Mecca, with the city name “MECCA” shown at the bottom. The other side presents a symbolic composition associated with the entrance to Islamic holy sites: a stylized arch and a heraldic spiral, along with the denomination of 500 ₸. The coin is struck in .9999 gold and weighs 3.11 g. The Kaaba is regarded as the main center of pilgrimage for Muslims. In the Arabic tradition, this structure is also referred to as the “Sacred House.” It is toward the Kaaba that believers turn during their daily prayers, and the building itself serves as one of the most important spiritual landmarks of the Islamic world.
