This variety gained wide renown for its large fruits, distinctive aroma, and excellent taste. In the early 20th century, largely thanks to the work of passionate gardeners and breeders, the Almaty Aport achieved international recognition. At horticultural exhibitions and competitions, it repeatedly received gold medals and attracted sustained interest from specialists. Struck in .925 silver, the coin reflects the importance of the Aport as part of the country’s natural and cultural heritage, closely connected with the history of horticulture in the Almaty region.
