AQ TUNGIYQ is dedicated to the white water lily, a rare aquatic plant in Kazakhstan that is listed in the Red Book. The issue continues a series highlighting the country’s plant life and drawing attention to the need to protect vulnerable species. The design features the image of the flower, associated with the purity of the water environment and natural balance. A distinctive feature of this commemorative coin is the use of a new technology: the surface is enhanced with transparent enamel, creating a striking effect of a water surface through which the sandy bottom and stones can be seen. This solution strengthens the artistic impact of the composition and makes the image especially three-dimensional. The coin is struck in .925 silver, has a face value of 1,000 tenge, and weighs 100 grams.
