The commemorative 5,000 ₸ coin commemorates the 800th anniversary of the Ulus of Jochi and is dedicated to one of the key figures in the medieval history of the steppe. Jochi Khan, the eldest son of Genghis Khan, is regarded as the founder of the Ulus of Jochi, also known as the Golden Horde. His name is associated with the formation of an important political realm that had a significant impact on the history of Eurasia. In Kazakhstan, his memory is preserved in various ways, including through the Mausoleum of Jochi Khan in the Ulytau Region, which is considered an important monument of historical and cultural heritage. The coin is struck in .925 silver and weighs 777.5 g. Its design features the image of the monument to Jochi Khan created by the Kazakh sculptor and monumental artist Gaziz Yeshkenov. The composition is complemented by a collage of coins from the Golden Horde era.
