The coin is dedicated to the Order of Aibyn and is the fifth issue in the “State Awards of Kazakhstan” series. It was issued in 2008 with a face value of 50 tenge and struck in nickel silver, with a weight of 11.17 grams. The Order of Aibyn is one of the military decorations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is awarded for courage, selflessness, and devotion to duty. It is presented to members of the Armed Forces, as well as employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Security Committee, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for bravery and distinguished service in protecting the interests of the state.
