The coin is dedicated to the Order of Altyn Kyran, one of the highest state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is the first issue in the State Awards series, introducing some of the most important symbols of official recognition for outstanding service to the country. The order itself is awarded for an exceptional contribution to the development of the state, the strengthening of its authority, and distinguished service for the benefit of the republic. The award was established in 1995 and holds a special place in Kazakhstan’s system of state honors. The design of the order incorporates elements of white, red, and yellow gold, as well as decorative inlays. The 50 tenge coin was struck in nickel silver (neizilber) in 2006 and weighs 11.17 grams. It is of interest as a commemorative issue reflecting state symbolism and the history of Kazakhstan’s awards system.
