AIÝ “Bear” is a commemorative coin of Kazakhstan with a face value of 1000 tenge, struck in .925 silver and weighing 31.10 g. It is the seventh issue in the “Cult Animals – Totems of Nomads” series. The image of the bear in the design is expressed through a combination of naturalistic modeling and a stylized approach that refers to the artistic heritage of the Saka. This approach highlights the connection between contemporary coin art and the ancient traditions of steppe culture. Symbolically, the bear is associated with strength, endurance, inner resilience, and closeness to the natural world. The coin continues the concept of the series dedicated to animals that held an important place in the worldview of nomadic peoples and in their ideas of protection, power, and spiritual support.
