The 500 ₸ silver coin, weighing 31.10 g, is dedicated to the eagle-owl, which held a special place in the beliefs of nomads as a sacred bird and revered totem. Its image was associated with wisdom, insight, and the ability to see what is hidden. It was believed that the eagle-owl protected people from evil spirits, warned of danger, and served as a guide to sacred knowledge. This symbolism reflects the ancient beliefs of the steppe peoples, for whom animals and birds were an important part of the spiritual world. Struck in .925 silver, the coin conveys the significance of the eagle-owl as a protector and guardian of secret knowledge in the culture of the nomads of Kazakhstan.
