The 50 ₸ coin, struck in 9999 fine gold and weighing 0.50 g, is dedicated to the Zhalauly Treasure, an outstanding monument to the art of the Saka craftsmen of Semirechye, dating from the 5th to the 3rd centuries BC. Discovered in 1988, this treasure attracted special attention from researchers due to its high level of craftsmanship and the richness of the objects found. It included more than 600 gold items, among them ornaments and decorative elements reflecting the distinctive features of ancient nomadic culture. The image of the Zhalauly Treasure in the coin’s design recalls the importance of Kazakhstan’s archaeological discoveries and emphasizes the continuity of artistic traditions preserved in the monuments of the region’s early history.
