TREASURES OF THE STEPPE - KAZAKHSTAN
This series reflects a significant aspect of the culture and history of the nation, showcasing images of architectural monuments and elements of intangible cultural heritage. It vividly depicts the eclectic Great Steppe, demonstrating the traditions, way of life, and cultural codes of the nomadic tribes that once inhabited it. The series includes coins made in various forms and using multiple metals and technologies, such as tantalum inlays, color printing, partial oxidation, and diamond incrustation. The 'Treasures of the Steppe' series laid the foundation for the 'Zheti Kazyna' coin program, where coins made of gold, silver, and copper-nickel alloy illustrate the seven treasures of the steppe: courage, a wise and beautiful wife, a loyal dog, universal knowledge, an elegant rifle, a horse, and a golden hunting eagle.
