The “Berkut” coin continues the “Treasures of the Steppe — Kazakhstan” series and turns to one of the most significant symbols of nomadic culture. In the tradition of the Kazakh steppe, the golden eagle is associated with strength, keen sight, and the art of hunting, and its image holds a special place in ideas of courage and freedom. This issue develops the theme of Jeti Qazyna, the seven treasures, to which individual bicolor circulation coins are dedicated, united by a common historical and cultural concept. This specimen has a face value of 100 tenge, is made of nibrass and nickel silver, weighs 6.45 grams, and has a diameter of 24.50 mm. The coin is of interest as part of Kazakhstan’s modern numismatic program, in which important symbols of national heritage and steppe tradition are expressed through concise artistic imagery.
