The commemorative coin of Kazakhstan, “Libra,” continues the series dedicated to the signs of the zodiac. Its design is executed in the style of rock art, which gives the composition a distinctive character and connects this modern issue with ancient artistic traditions. The coin has an unusual octagonal shape and is struck in .925 silver (10 g) with a tantalum insert (15 g), the color of which corresponds to the element associated with the sign. The design also uses color-changing technology, making certain details especially expressive.
The obverse features the inscription “QAZAQSTAN ULTYQ BANKI,” images of the zodiac signs, and a stylized sun created using color printing. It also shows the face value of 100 ₸, as well as the metal and weight specifications: Ag 925 10 g and Ta 15 g. The reverse depicts a stylized image of the Libra constellation, its symbolic sign, and its name. The total weight of the coin is 25.00 g.
