The 50 tenge coin “Kokshetau” is dedicated to one of Kazakhstan’s well-known cities and is part of a series highlighting the country’s architectural and historical landmarks. It is made of nickel silver and weighs 4.71 g. On the obverse, the denomination “50 TENGE” is placed in the center. In the upper part, there is an ornamental octagonal rosette, while the lower part features an element of the national ornament. To the right of the denomination is the abbreviation “ҚҰБ” (Kazakh Mint). A raised rim runs along the edge. On the reverse, the coat of arms of Kokshetau is depicted in the center. Around the circumference is the inscription “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN,” and the year of minting, 2015, is also shown. The inscription and the date are separated by dots, and a raised rim also runs along the edge.
