The 50 tenge coin “Uralsk” is dedicated to one of the oldest cities in Kazakhstan and is part of a series highlighting the country’s architectural and historical landmarks. It is made of nickel silver, and the coin weighs 4.71 grams. On the obverse, the denomination “50 TENGE” appears in the center. In the upper part there is an ornamental eight-pointed rosette, while at the bottom there is an element of the national ornament, and to the right of the denomination is the abbreviation “QUB.” All images and inscriptions are framed by a raised rim. On the reverse, the coat of arms of Uralsk is placed in the center. Along the circumference runs the inscription “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN,” and the year of minting is also shown, separated from the inscription by dots. The design is restrained in style and emphasizes the issue’s connection with the history and urban symbolism of Uralsk.
