The 50 tenge Petropavlovsk coin is made of nickel silver and weighs 4.71 g. It belongs to a series dedicated to the architectural and historical monuments of Kazakhstan and reflects a theme connected with one of the country’s oldest cities.
On the obverse, the denomination “50 TENGE” is placed in the center. In the upper part there is an ornamental octagonal rosette, while at the bottom there is an element of the national ornament, and to the right of the denomination appears the abbreviation “QUB.” A raised rim runs along the edge.
On the reverse, the coat of arms of Petropavlovsk is depicted in the center. Around the circumference is the inscription “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN,” and the year of minting is also shown, separated from the inscription by dots.
