The 50 tenge coin "Ust-Kamenogorsk" was issued in Kazakhstan as part of a series dedicated to the country’s architectural and historical monuments. It is made of neyzilber (nickel silver) and weighs 4.71 g. On the obverse, the denomination "50 TENGE" is placed in the center. In the upper part there is an ornamental octagonal rosette, while at the bottom an element of the national ornament is shown, and to the right of the denomination appears the abbreviation "QUB" (transliteration of the Kazakh "ҚҰБ"). A raised rim runs along the edge. On the reverse, the coat of arms of Ust-Kamenogorsk is depicted in the center. Around the circumference is the inscription "REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN", as well as the year of minting, separated from the inscription by dots. The coin’s design follows the style characteristic of the series and emphasizes the issue’s connection with the history of one of the important cities of Eastern Kazakhstan.
